Mr. Escalera is currently a Director of the La Puente Valley County Water District. He served as a member of the Board since December 2001. Prior to his election to the Water Board, he served on the City of La Puente Planning Commission.
Mr. Escalera retired in May 2013 from the San Gabriel Valley Water Company where he has worked for over 45 years. He is a graduate of La Puente High School, attended Citrus College and Mount San Antonio College where he received certifications in water technology for water treatment and water distribution.
Mr. Escalera is a long time resident of La Puente. He has been married to his wife, Betty for over 55 years and they have three children and eight grandchildren.
